About Me
Hi! I’m Gilang, a full-stack software engineer based in Indonesia, currently working as an IT consultant. I enjoy building software that solves real problems, but I’m just as interested in understanding why things work the way they do. Whether it’s backend systems, developer tools, AI, or a random rabbit hole I stumbled upon at 2 AM, I genuinely enjoy learning and figuring things out.
Over the years I’ve worked on everything from internal tools and enterprise systems to public-facing web applications. More recently, I’ve been exploring open source, software architecture, and AI while documenting what I learn along the way.
Track Record
- Built 5 enterprise applications (50+ modules) for World Bank & IFAD-funded agricultural programmes at Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture. This system supports HQ, 10 provincial offices, 300+ operational users, and 10K+ beneficiaries.
- Reduced financial reporting cycles from 1 week to under 5 minutes (World Bank IFR) and from 30 days to 1 day (IFAD monthly consolidation)
- Resolved a production scalability crisis that increased concurrent user capacity from ~1,000 to 30,000+
- Built and operate Nemuhunian, a property marketplace with 700+ listings and 25K+ Instagram followers, as sole founder & engineer
